I have chickens and looking to see if I can add crushed egg shells. I give raw, but also supplement with bone broth from roasted meat. Thank you for the video! I will definitely be adding to my girls’ raw.
SO is it good without the rice?
When I was a kid growing up in the 60s and 70s, the dogs ate what we ate our dogs lived to be 16 and 18 years of age. Nope we did not vaccinate them all the time they had a rabies vaccine and that was probably about it they probably got some puppy vaccines when they were young, but otherwise no they did not get anything else year after year after year my grandmother made pierogies stuffed cabbages. The dog ate all kinds of leftovers from spaghetti and vegetables to biscuits and gravy and he was a big dog and he lived to be 16. We also had a relative whose dog a big black lab lived also to be 16 years old.
I’ve spoke to many people over the years because I run a German Shepherd rescue and when I have people tell me my German Shepherd live to be 18 years old back in the 70s and I’ve had multiple people tell me this I said what in the world, did your family feed that dog and they said not dog food homemade food or what we ate, one family was Italian and the dog was eating lasagna and spaghetti and sauce and garlic bread. Imagine a German Shepherd to be 18 years of age unheard of today.
We give our current dogs, fresh raw eggs from our chickens, which are organic fed.
They also get a lot of cooked meat and vegetables daily.
I would probably reduce that rice by about one cup, but otherwise it’s not that big a deal to put 2 cups of rice in that amount of food
